NIRSAL Plc is an investee company of the CBN, established as a fiscal policy tool to de risk and structure agricultural value chains, enabling increased private sector investment in agribusiness. This affiliation reinforces our credibility and institutional backing, ensuring we remain focused on promoting inclusive growth and sustainable development in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

NIRSAL operates within the policy framework of the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, which played a foundational role in its establishment. 

NIRSAL was conceived as a market-oriented solution to unlock commercial financing for agriculture—born out of the collaborative regulator-operator relationship between the Central Bank of Nigeria and Deposit Money Banks.
