In collaboration with a consortium of insurance underwriters
and with regulatory support from the National Agricultural
Insurance Commission (NAIC), we have introduced and
promoted five innovative agricultural insurance products
including the Area Yield Index Insurance (AYII) and the Hybrid
Multi-peril Insurance. These products are specifically
crafted to address the unique risks faced by Nigerian
farmers, strengthening their resilience against climate and
market-related risks.

Our work is effectively addressing the mismatch between
pre-existing insurance products and contemporary field
risks. We are therefore reshaping agricultural risk
management in Nigeria by leading the design, development,
and promotion of innovative, affordable, and tailored
insurance solutions.
